Welcome to Friends of St. Anne's e.V.!
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting St. Anne's Hospital in Liuli, Tanzania, since 2011. This hospital serves as the primary healthcare provider within a 100-kilometer radius along Lake Nyasa. Our mission is to improve access to medical care in the region and enhance the working and living conditions of local staff. With an average daily income of less than one US dollar, the Nyasa district ranks among the poorest regions in the world. Through donations, we help the hospital supply urgently needed medicines for children and adults, improve hygiene standards, and equip it with medical devices for disease detection.

We offer opportunities for:
- Everyone, regardless of background: Contribute to our projects by collaborating with the board and the hospital on fundraising, project support, on-site work, public outreach, and more.
- Dental/Medical students: Gain valuable clinical experience through internships at St. Anne's Hospital, located in a stunning and culturally rich region.
- Social management students: Help shape association and hospital operations in a unique setting.
- Healthcare professionals: Doctors, dentists, midwives, nurses, paramedics, laboratory specialists, hygiene experts, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, hospital managers, and others are welcome to work abroad at St. Anne's Hospital.
- Other associations and aid organizations: Partner with us to improve healthcare in southwestern Tanzania.
Our volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the hospital and the people of Nyasa through their invaluable on-site work.!
